High-tech flexibility with the new FW series


The packaging machinery sector is constantly looking for highly functional packaging solutions, able to meet the needs of versatility, efficiency, hygiene and safety of several market sectors. These assumptions have led SMIPACK to launch on the market the new FW series of automatic packaging machines with flow pack system, designed in compliance with the latest developments of Industry 4.0 and IoT (Internet of Things) principles, which allow to create functional and flexible packaging solutions at a reduced cost. The new FW series is composed of 14 models divided into three groups, that can reach a maximum production output between 40 and 200 products/minute.

Flow pack, a winning solution in terms of flexibility
		The flow pack system stands out for being able to pack a wide range of products from different sectors, creating packages of simple or coupled flexible material wrapped around it and then sealed on three sides. This system is widely used in the packaging of food and non-food products.

Thanks to the pack closure system by means of a sealing device in length and sealing bar in width, the dimensions of the "bag" into which the product is inserted can be defined in a simple way via software, thus avoiding material waste. The use of advanced control technologies and brushless motors allows significant energy savings. Thanks to these innovations, the flow pack system is a very efficient choice in terms of productivity and respect for the environment.

Sealing system + reel positioning, several solutions offered by the FW series
The operation of the flow pack system is based on the interaction of two main groups: the sealing system and the position of the reel. The new FW series is available with three different sealing modes - rotary, intermittent or "box motion" sealing bar - and two positions of the reel holding system - high and low – that, according to the selected machine model, are combined in different configurations to cover the multiple needs of the various market sectors. The configuration flexibility, together with a dynamic conformer equipped with accessories, makes this series of 14 models one of the most versatile and innovative packaging options currently available.
