"Smart" innovations: the trump card for the new WPS

The world has constantly been changing and, as a consequence, consumers' needs and demands are increasingly changing and unpredictable. This requires production systems equipped with increasingly "smart" technologies, that can quickly adapt to new market developments. In the packaging sector, Smipack has therefore decided to update the range of WPS wrap-around case packers, equipping it with a series of “pluses” that allow the end user to effectively meet new requirements.
News and advantages By updating the WPS series, Smipack has considerably improved the following aspects:

	Cardboard picking - now it is managed by a servo-motor and it is equipped with a decompression system that improves the cardboard picking
	Cardboard handling - a cardboard transport chain controlled by servomotors has been introduced, in order to improve the synchronization of the movements
	Format changeover - it has been improved, in order to make the operator's work easier and faster
	Management versatility - the standard machine can now process corrugated cardboard (3 mm), micro-corrugated cardboard (1.8 mm) and kraft cardboard (0.54 mm)
